Located at the top of the Hyatt Regency Lisbon Hotel, a short walk from the city’s most iconic monuments, in Belém, this rooftop overlooks the river and faces 25 de Abril Bridge. It offers space for more than 60 people, but has more of a chill-out rather than a party atmosphere, making it a good spot to relax at the end of the day. It’s managed by the same team behind the very popular Sky Bar on Avenida da Liberdade (see above), so the cocktail list is the same, but this spot is closer to the river, which can be seen from both the interior and exterior. It has an elegant interior decorated with blue velvet, while the terrace features a plant-filled tropical-inspired décor. To reach it, enter the 8 Building through the front door on Praça D. Luís I and turn left, where you will find a glass elevator. At the top, you will have a view of the bell towers of São Paulo Church on one side, the neighborhood of Santa Catarina and its viewpoint on the other, and the river on another. The cuisine is Mediterranean, and there are several grilled dishes to share.

This bar is on the first floor and not on the rooftop of the Memmo Alfama Hotel, but it's at the top of an entire neighborhood -- picturesque Alfama. Found between the Amoreiras shopping mall and Marquês de Pombal Square, this is the rooftop bar of the Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel (9th floor). It's a destination for late in the afternoon and nights in the summer, offering cocktails on poolside lounge chairs overlooking the city.
Together with the cocktails, it serves snacks, and presents different theme parties every week -- from caipirinha to champagne parties, always to the sound of hits spanning different decades.

Looking out to the Botanical Garden, this terrace is found at the top of the Altis Grand Hotel. It’s a destination for a drink after work or after browsing the stores down Avenida da Liberdade. A resident DJ provides the sound for the later hours, and at any time there’s a cocktail menu mixing the classics and the signature drinks.
Decorated with vertical gardens, it has space for just a few tables and sofas, but it’s an attractive and refreshing spot to chill out.

Unlike most of the other rooftop bars in town, this one is found outside the old town, but still has a central location, on one of the city’s busiest avenues. It’s on the 8th floor of the Jupiter Lisboa Hotel, and has a large swimming pool. Unfortunately, the pool is only for those staying at the hotel, but the bar is open to everyone, every day between noon and 8pm, between May and October. It serves several cocktails and light meals (salads, wraps, bagels), and may be booked for events, holding up to 180 people.

It started out as a small terrace, but was expanded in 2018 and now has a total area of 120m2. It’s just around the corner from Avenida da Liberdade but it’s one of the quietest spots in the city, inviting you to stay in the sun, to end your day with a cocktail and chat away from the crowds. It’s on the 10th floor of the H10 Duque de Loulé Hotel, and has a covered and an outdoor area looking out to the river.

There’s also a swimming pool, but non-guests have to pay €25 before diving in. At the bar, everyone is served a variety of cocktails and snacks.

The terrace on the 8th floor of the Pollux store once had a popular café, but it closed to become a restaurant. It’s now a wine bar and restaurant, but maintains the postcard view over downtown and towards the Santa Justa Elevator. It promotes Portuguese wines, to accompany a menu of petiscos (tapas) and dishes of Portuguese cuisine. It's open throughout the day, from noon to 10pm.
Mama Shelter

Located at the top of the Art Inn Lisbon Hotel, this terrace is one of the city's secrets. To get there, go up the stairs of the hotel (which are decorated with works of art) until you see the surprising view of the castle. Very laid-back, it serves healthy meals, smoothies and cocktails.
